Not at all.  If you feel you MUST clear your mind that is probably the last thing you will be able to do – you will be thinking about not thinking!  All I ask is that you try to physically relax as you listen, nothing more.  Imagine a child listening to a mother read a bedtime story, that beautiful, relaxed state – that is all you are aiming for.

Meditation and (self) hypnosis feel identical except that with hypnosis a specific outcome is usually desired –  to stop smoking, control a fear..etc.  So you will be in a beautiful, meditative state, where you can more easily accept new, healthier ways of living your life

The more you listen to your sessions, the more relaxed you will become and the easier it will be to learn new habits. Listen as frequently as possible and always in a quiet room where you will not be disturbed.  Sound Sleep does not have to be listened to immediately before bedtime.  Listening earlier in the evening will have the same effect.
